Hi Miles,
Just wanted to say that I have the Virual Smart Agent and it really does live up to it's name. I upgraded my agent so that I could put my own audio to it and it does work a treat. I'm not very tech savy but the video tutorial is great.

@andrew goulding - I see your point of view, I really think it depends on how people use VSA as to whether or not it's effective, insulting, etc. I too find that the fake stuff really turns me off, especially since being in this business it's easily recognizable. However, what I really appreciate about VSA is the fact that you can immediately tell the person that it is a "virtual" assistant and not a real person.

Imagine how many people are on the border of buying, or perhaps have a question that is keeping them from making that final decision, now you have an extra chance to grab that visitor, help them make that final buying decision.

You also cannot limit your thinking on using this tool to make another offer, there are many 'outside the box' techniques you could use. And after all, that person is leaving your website most likely never to be seen again, it only makes sense to try and grab the sale.

With proven increases in conversions it only makes sense to use a tool such as this to increase your commission. If you won't your better be sure your competition will.

Being from outside the USA, I don't find VSA great, I find it slightly insulting. What? You want to offer me a discount because I didn't like your product in the first place?

Now that most marketers seem to be using it, there's not even any shock value, merely irritation. Why not cut the hype and give me a good offer in the first place? Ahhhhh!

I really hate VSA with a passion. Many sites remove the indications that it is a VIRTUAL agent, and many only use it for offering a price reduction to save the sale.

I suppose that if it is properly set up, with some answers as an interactive FAQ, it has its place. LiveAgent or a decent web page are much better in my opinion.

Hi there.

I promoted VSA to my marketing list without hesitation. I LOVE the way this script was developed.

I'm all about sales processes and this really is a good way help save a sale.

I totally recommended this product to all my clients of Promo Code Software because it was the perfect companion.

Nice post...glad I found your blog.
