My 2007 Book List

2007 Book ListLynn Terry of ClickNewz.com had an interesting post about all the books she’s ordered on Amazon.com in 2007 so I thought I would share some of mine. Below is a list of business related books I purchased over 2007 from Amazon.com as well as a few videos. I’m also getting ready to make a purchase today as a Super Affiliate buddy of mine was Super Generous in giving me a nice Amazon.com gift certificate so I’m listing those as well. I also invite you to share what books you’ve read, recommend, or enjoyed in 2007, link back to this page and Lynn’s post, or leave a comment.

Books:

  • The Master Key System – This book is well worth reading, written over 100 years ago by a very successful businessman the thoughts and laws in this book are timeless. From what I’ve read it’s one of the books ‘The Secret’ was based off of. This book discusses how what is happening outside of you is in a direct relation to what is taking place in your consciousness and many other insightful observations and success factors.
  • How to Write a Good Advertisement – Haven’t read this one yet, so no recommendation as of yet.
  • Scientific Advertising – Recommended by Perry Marshall, I’m currently reading this book and find it very interesting, a must-read for anyone doing online marketing.
  • Meet and Grow Rich – Excellent book for anyone involved in a Mastermind group, if you’re not currently in a Mastermind of some kind then you should read this book and discover why you should be and best ways to set one up. If there’s one book that’s changed my 2007 more than anything else it was this one based on the actions I took in starting up a Mastermind group with several super affiliates.
  • The Long Tail – Should be called “The Long Winded” this is a very powerful concept and the book really opened my eyes to just how powerful the long tail is and how Internet businesses are the perfect model to profit from long tails. However, I felt the book repeated itself and went much further in-depth than the average reader needed to go.
  • The Attractor Factor – From the same author of ‘Meet and Grow Rich’, Joe Vitale, this book was a fun, easy, and motivating read. In fact, one of the concepts I learned in it made me $1500 the next day! No joke.
  • Four Hour Workweek – Great book! I consider this a must-read, although Lynn Terry also purchased this in 2007 and considered it her least favorite. After reading this I really changed my business and started outsourcing a LOT more. This is the second book that made the biggest difference in my business in 2007.

Videos:

  • Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room – Good movie, but I didn’t think it was worth buying. John Reese really talked highly of it in one of his newsletters, but I would recommend renting it from Netflix.
  • Biography – The Google Boys – Booooooooooooooring! It shed a little light on Google for me, but 95% of the contents I already knew. Unless you don’t know much about Google at all then it’s worth RENTING, not buying.
  • Tony Robbins: The Secret of His Success – If you’re a Tony Robbins fan then this is a must-have. The one movie purchase I am glad I made. I watch it every now and then for motivation. It details his life and beginnings.

What I Purchased Today (Reading/Watching for 2008):

Looks like I will have some reading to catch up on! Again, feel free to share some of your favorites from last year.

Hi Miles, I’ll definitely check out the Robbins movie. I became a huge fan after I was fortunate enough to attend a DWD in Palm Springs a few years ago. In fact this summer I scored a complete Personal Power cassette set from his infomercial days for a dollar. Talk about getting your money’s worth.

Thanks for this blog btw. I got to it from Amit’s blog which I just found a few days ago.
