My $100,000 Check
November 3, 2006

My Goal CheckWhile I was watching ‘The Secret‘ I remembered something I had done that is similar to what is mentioned in the movie. Back in October of 2001 I wrote a check to myself for $100,000.00 and dated it for two years in the future, Oct. 2003. I had no money in the bank, no plans to make money, and no real ideas for making any money. However, I knew I wanted to have $100,000 in my bank account. I filed the check away and almost forgot about it.

Over the next two years I began to make a substantial amount of money online. Eventually, my bank account had over $100,000 of available funds in it! Only until I got close to $100,000 in the bank did I remember I had written that post dated check. I pulled it out and guess what, it was ONE MONTH before the date on the check! I had over $100,000 in my bank account and reached my goal a month before the date on the check!

Here is a copy of that check which I keep framed in my office today.

My One Hundred Thousand Dollar Check

Oh, and yes, I have written myself another post-dated check!

Hey Miles, this is a great post. Writing yourself a post-dated cheque like this is a great way to ‘ignite’ the subconcious mind and get yourself working. Thanks for sharing this. I will write myself a cheque too ….

This is amazing. I need to write one such check. I have used the similar for other stuff so far (like grades and family) so I’m quite excited in seeing how it all works out.

Thanks Miles. Just came across your blog and really appreciate the insight. I’m looking forward to reading more. You appear to be authetic and I admire that.

I read a lot about this in books. And you have proved it to be worked.

    Sorry, miss this out.

Someone has told me that Jim Carrey did this too.

Before we acted in the movie ‘The Mask,’ (when he was not as famous as now) he had written a check of 1 million bucks and carried it in his shirt pocket!

And now he has earned XX millions just for that little act.

    Amazing!

    Hi Miles

Sounds very nice with the check issue :) I have done exsactly the same a few month ago with the check from The Secret and made my wishingboard to! I always wanted to have the Mustang from the moive “Gone In 60 Sec” .. The cool car Elenor and that is one of my goals with The Secret.

My biggest wish is to work online and make my first million dollars in 3 years. and right now my brain works like cracy to put some stuff together inside! :O)

Have A Great Day And Good Luck With Everything You Do In The Future.

    Hey Miles,

Over the past few days, I’ve been listening to “The Secret”… and aside from the “you are God” message, I totally agree with the concept this book describes. I’ve asked for, believe and received my own post dated check for $100,000. Thank you universe! (i.e. God). Larry
