Internet Marketer Meets Stalker Face to Face!

It was her daughter’s birthday and full-time Internet marketer Lynn Terry was enjoying a peaceful day at home when all of a sudden there was a knock at her door, her back door! You see, along with Lynn’s online success came a bit of notoriety, she’s successful and people are attracted to that success. Even though she never thought it would come to this, the incident all happened due to one fatal mistake she made online.
Lynn had mistakenly posted too much information online, she had put her personal home address in her emails. That was all the information one man needed to show up at her home, unannounced, without warning!
Fortunately for Lynn and her family this ‘stalker’ turned out to be an over-eager marketer whose reason for showing up at her house was that Lynn didn’t respond to his email or phone call for over 24 hours. Coo-Coo!
Now apparently the man was nice. However, I think he definitely crossed the line! What do you think?
The lesson here is that the Internet is a big place and you never know who you are going to run into, if you’re well known online or just don’t want unexpected visitors it’s best to keep your personal life and address low-key.
You can read Lynn’s version of the incident on her blog ClickNewz.

Well, thats wierd I always think that someone could steal my social, or bank account number or even passwords to my websites in such, but i never think about a possible stalker
I agree – there are plenty of other things we fear might happen. We usually get surprised by the thing we expect the least though
This particular incident wasnt such a big deal really, but it sure opened my eyes as to how ‘available’ I have made myself. An issue I intend to resolve quickly!
And yes Miles, I agree – he *did* cross the line. No doubt about that. It’s a matter of respect.
