How To Decrease Your Adwords CPC by 500%
October 10, 2007

Phone Number in Adwords AdI’ve heard of people doing this before, placing their phone number in their Adwords ad, I’m not sure if it’s against Google Adwords terms of service or not, but I’m sure it works quite well. I wasn’t looking for this service, however if I was I certainly would have picked up the phone and called the number in the ad right away, especially since it’s the only number it really stands out against the other ads.

Think about all the clicks you wouldn’t have to pay for but all the calls you would still get! Plus, the ad really stands out. The even cooler part is this guy is too cheap to even use an 800 number, he’s not paying a dime and getting free customers!

Never Trust A Company To Retain Your Information
June 18, 2007

Image NameToday I logged into my Adwords MCC (Client Center) to find that all the accounts that I manage have completely disappeared. Just goes to show that even Google with all their billions of dollars and thousands of servers all around the world can lose your information. Luckily all the accounts are still intact, I just can no longer manage them.

What’s really scary is if this can happen then they could easily lose all my bidding and advertising information. Thus, if you use Adwords you should be using their Adwords Editor to download and backup your information. However, more importantly no matter what online service you use, if it’s important or making you money you should keep a backup of everything!

Lesson for the day? Backup everything, even things that you trust large companies to handle, you should really be backup up yourself. If you’re using an online backup service make sure that you have your own local backup too.
